About Kirk Ouimet:
Kirk Ouimet is a computer programmer, inventor, entrepreneur, and investor. He is a co-founder of Scan, Inc., a computer vision company that created a popular consumer app called Scan, which raised $10M in funding and was downloaded over 250 million times! Kirk successfully helped sell Scan Inc. to Snap Inc. and integrated its scanning technology into Snapchat, providing his team and investors with $100M+ in returns when Snap went public. At Snap, he led engineering teams in Los Angeles and Utah, where he helped scale the engineering team from 30 to over 1,000 engineers, authored over 20 patents, and built the creative tools used by hundreds of millions of Snapchat users.
In addition to his work in the tech industry, Kirk is an avid cryptocurrency enthusiast and actively participates in the space. He is currently focused on investing in and advising Web3 companies and DAOs, and is an LP/Mentor for Web3 at Convoi Ventures. Kirk's other interests include nanotechnology, artificial general intelligence, biological immortality, and games.
Prior to his work at Scan and Snap, Kirk created several other web-related projects, including Yougetsignal.com, a website that can track connections between sites as they travel thousands of miles and hop continents, and Socwall.com, a platform where users generate and promote content on pages. Kirk is now starting a new AI driven health supplement company called Stack.
